McDonald’s is adding Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry back to its menu just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day. The sweet treats will only be available for a limited time.
“For more than 50 years, fans have eagerly awaited the annual return of the Shamrock Shake, counting on the arrival of Shamrock Shake Season to mark the unofficial start to spring,” Chad Schafer, McDonald’s Senior Director of Culinary, said.
The Shamrock Shake was first introduced in the 60s at a Connecticut McDonald’s, and in the 70s, it became a national favorite. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry debuted last year.
“And we hear they especially enjoyed getting a taste of the one-and-only Shamrock flavor in a new way last year with the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry. We know this winter may feel longer than others, so we’re thrilled to give customers something to look forward to by bringing both fan-favorites back to the menu this month,” Schafer said.
The Shamrock Shake and the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry will be available at McDonald’s on February 15 for a limited time only.
The Shamrock Shake is 800 calories and is made with vanilla reduced fat ice cream and shamrock shake syrup, and whipped cream. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is 370 calories and contains vanilla reduced fat ice cream, oreo pieces, and Shamrock McFlurry syrup.
