Shannon Sharpe is sharing his own reaction to Katt Williams and what will likely be the biggest interview of his career.
During his “Nightcap Show” with Gilbert Arenas, Sharpe admitted that some of the topics that Williams touched on were difficult because they involved people with whom he is friends.
“We have a friendly relationship that we cool. So my thing is, well, that’s the hardest part,” Sharpe told Arenas.
Williams made several accusations against his fellow comedians. He accused Rickey Smiley of lying about how the role of Money Mike came about for the “Friday After Next” film. He then slammed Cedric The Entertainer for stealing his jokes and claimed his friend Steve Harvey of stealing material from Mark Curry and trying to side-swipe Bernie Mac out of a movie deal. He also accused Kevin Hart of being a gatekeeper who has not put many people in a better position. Sharpe says these types of conversations forced him to refrain from the messiness during the conversation, which has taken the internet by storm.
“Man, the best thing for me is to just be Switzerland. Stay neutral. Ask the questions, and then… I’ma let the viewing audience take their side,” Sharpe added.
Williams also touched on Diddy having questionable parties and Harvey Weinstein offering to give him oral sex. Michael Blackson, Hart, Smiley, and Cedric have all responded to the nearly three-hour-long chat. Williams hasn’t said much about the firestorm he’s created, though he likely will.
