Shannon Sharpe Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion For His Past Comments: “As A Man…I Apologize” [Video]

Shannon Sharpe is making amends with Megan Thee Stallion for adding to the criticism she has faced.

On Monday, Megan’s episode on Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast was released and was full of interesting topics. But, before Sharpe kicked off any conversations, he took a moment to apologize to Megan for the past comments he had made about her.

“I always wanted to sit down and talk with you, but I didn’t know if that was going to be possible but I was hoping that I got the opportunity to bump into you,” Sharpe began. “Because I made a comment, I think it was like September October and I told a joke. I said it in jest, but I believe the joke would’ve been just as funny had I left you out of it. So, for any unwanted attention, harm, shame, or embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I want to say, as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize.”

Megan accepted the apology and the two shared a toast with a shot of Sharpe’s luxury cognac, Le Portier.

If you’re unaware, in November of 2023, Sharpe discussed Megan Thee Stallion with his “Nightcap” co-host, Chad Ochocinco. During the conversation, Ochocinco asked Sharpe if he would ever date the “Hot Girl Coach,” he replied, “I’d have her stretched out like quarter to three.”

He continued, “I do it three ways, Ocho: deep, hard, and continuously. That’s all I got, Ocho. You better stop playing. I’d have her opening up like saloon doors… You know my walk [is] a little off right now, but I still do something a little here and there.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Megan opened up about how Beyoncé inspired her to launch her own tequila brand.

“As much as I used enjoy cognac, and I promoted a lot of people’s liquor brands, she was like, ‘The next time I see you, you better have your own alcoholic beverage,'” Megan said. “I was like, ‘You know what? You’re right, queen. I am gon’ have my own sh*t.”
