The Milwaukee Bucks were dismantled by the Indiana Pacers on Saturday in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA playoffs, losing 117-98. Tyrese Haliburton’s triple-double led the way for Indiana, and he had plenty to say to Damian Lillard toward the end of the game.

Lillard and the Bucks were excited when they brought in forward Kyle Kuzma to replace their aging, injured guard Khris Middleton. That trade sent Middleton, a former first-round pick, and young guard AJ Johnson to Washington in exchange for Kuzma. The 29-year-old from Flint, Michigan made the wrong kind of history Saturday, finishing the game with no recorded statistics in the box score after missing all seven of his shot attempts, including two three-pointers.
The newest addition to Nightcap on the NBA side has been NBA swingman Joe Johnson. Sharpe, Johnson, and Iso Joe recapped the first weekend of the playoffs, and Sharpe’s commentary on Kuzma’s performance stood out for its humor.
“Boy, the last time I’ve seen this many doughnuts, I was at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts,” Sharpe said while reflecting on Kuzma’s stat line. “Joe, I don’t know if I’ve seen that in all my life. Now like I said, I was in 4H, I grew up on a farm, I went to the county fair, and I ain’t never seen no ish like this.”
Check out the video of Sharpe. The Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Indiana Pacers for Game 2 in Indiana tomorrow.
