“Selling Tampa” star Sharelle Rosado is all for giving someone a second chance. She recently told Page Six that she decided to date her now-fiancé, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, regardless of his scandal because “people make mistakes.”
“It wasn’t a concern,” she said of her fiancé’s previous domestic violence case with his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. “You never know what goes on between things – I don’t want to speak on that because I wasn’t there, but Chad is a great person.”
Rosado, 34, also said, “People go through things, people make mistakes, and you learn from them. If you base things off on mistakes that people made then you’ll never make it in life. Nobody is perfect.”
In 2012, the former NFL player was arrested and sentenced to 12 months probation after he was accused of head-butting his then-wife Lozada.
Apparently, she had found a receipt for condoms. Afterward, she filed for divorce, saying the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
However, since the whole incident, the “Basketball Wives” star has said she and Johnson are “cool” with each other and she has “no ill will toward him.”
Rosado officially started dating Johnson last year and said he “went through what he needed to go through to get to where he’s at today.”
“He’s a great guy overall and I respect him,” she said of Johnson. “He’s a great father, a great person, a great soulmate, and I love him.”
On Wednesday, Rosado made her reality TV debut on Netflix’s “Selling Tampa.”
“I didn’t want people to think he was the reason why I got this show,” the broker told us of her partner’s brief appearances is featured in only a few scenes of the show.
Rosado also shared that the two first got in contact when she DM’d him and sent heart-eye emojis for one of his stories.
“Never in a million years did I think we would be together today,” Rosado said.
The couple is expecting their first child together. Rosado has three other children from a previous relationship and Johnson has seven with six other women.
