Shaun Milli Baller Alert interview is giving a clear look at how a new R&B artist is moving with intention. Sitting down with Ferrari Simmons and BT in Atlanta, the Edgefield, South Carolina native kept it real about his come-up, his music, and why he’s choosing to stay independent. While his town only has about 4,000 people, he explained how stepping outside of that environment helped shape his vision early.
So when the pandemic hit in 2020, Shaun Milli didn’t slow down. Instead, he leaned into the moment and started taking music seriously. He said TikTok played a major role in building his fanbase, and that organic growth became the foundation for everything that followed. Because of that consistency, he was able to turn online attention into real traction.
He also broke down his project Lover’s Lounge, which dropped February 22 and already landed in the Billboard Top 10. The project leans into a 90s R&B feel, with music centered around love, relationships, and vibes for women. While he listens to hip-hop, he made it clear that R&B is his lane first. His favorite track from the project is “Tomorrow,” which reflects that smooth, melodic direction he’s building his brand on.
However, one of the biggest moments in the conversation came when he talked business. Shaun Milli confirmed he is not signed to a major label and is only working with a distribution company. He said straight up that he does not want a major deal right now because he values ownership and long-term money over quick upfront checks. While that means he has to fund his own videos and production, he understands the trade-off and is standing on it.
Because of that mindset, his success is starting to show in real ways. The hosts pointed out his jewelry, and he shared that things have been going up for him since around 2022. So that early TikTok grind is now translating into revenue, visibility, and a growing fanbase known as the Milli Mob.
He also kept things light during the interview. When asked about his biggest pet peeve, he said he hates when people ask for his food after saying they weren’t hungry. That moment added personality and reminded viewers he’s still grounded despite the success.
He even explained his name. His real name is Keshan, “Shaun” came from shortening it, and “Milli” evolved from “Million” after input from his team.
Now, with Lover’s Lounge performing and his audience growing, Shaun Milli is positioning himself as part of the new wave of R&B artists who understand both the music and the business.
