Sherri Shepherd Reveals Tense Run-In with an “Unnamed Celebrity”—Sources Point to Nia Long [Video]

Talk show host Sherri Shepherd claims one celebrity got handsy with her during the opening night of Broadway’s “Othello.” Now, insiders claim that the angry lady was none other than Nia Long.

Over the weekend, Shepherd attended the debut of “Othello,” starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Other A-listers in attendance included Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, Angela Bassett, and even the Bidens.

And on her talk show Monday, Shepherd revealed she was confronted by an “unnamed celebrity” before the show began.

“She grabbed my arm and forcefully turned me around… and she says to me, ‘You’ve been shading me a lot.’”

Page Six reported that the “Best Man” star was the woman in question. Shepherd denied the accusations made by Long, but her adversary shot back, “Yes, you have!” Shepherd was left “really mad.”

During intermission, Shepherd waited 15 minutes in the bathroom, anticipating a showdown.

“You don’t get to grab me and turn me around like we’re in a daggum cartoon and just walk away,” she stated to her audience.

She believes it was a case of mistaken identity and invited the unnamed celeb to clear the air on her show.

Long nor her team has commented on the situation.
