“I’m going to say this as a comic, I am afraid now to get on a stage.” Sheryl Underwood opens up about how she feels about the infamous Oscars slap. After seeing Will Smith slap Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars, she admits she is afraid.
She continues, “Because in my third show when everyone’s been drinking. If you don’t like my joke, do you now believe that you can get up and slap me?” The 58 -year-old comedian came forward on The Talk after the hosts watched a clip with Jim Carey giving his view on the incident claiming he was “sickened.”

Paula Abdul said that she “stands” with Jim Carey, and other hosts chimed in on the situation calling Hollywood “spineless.” Many referred to Hollywood as being spineless because Will Smith got a standing ovation following his assault of Chris Rock.
