Showtime Cancels Jamie Foxx’s “White Famous”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx’s comedy series, “White Famous”, has been canceled by Showtime.

 

The series followed Floyd Mooney (Jay Pharoah), a comedian working his way to the top of the Hollywood food chain while learning how to deal with “White fame.”

 

The program was said to be inspired by Foxx’s own experiences in Hollywood. With an interesting plot and star-studded cast, the show received mild reviews.

“White Famous Is a Stale, Pandering Look at Hollywood,” Vulture wrote.

The series premiered October 15, 2017, with 10 episodes. With a short run, the show still managed to pull in 1.8 million viewers weekly.
