The CEO of a Silicon Valley company who was caught on video making racist comments to an Asian-American family has stepped down from his company.
The video posted last week by Jordan Chan showed Michael Lofthouse, 37, at a California restaurant harassing an Asian family who was also dining.
He can be heard telling the family, “Asian pieces of sh**,” “Trump is gonna f**k you,” and “you f***ers need to leave.”
He was then told to leave the Lucia Restaurant by an employee.
Chan captioned the video in her Instagram post, “This is the face of the man who relentlessly harassed my family and I completely UNPROVOKED, UNWARRANTED, and UNCONSCIONABLE.”

In an email to CNN on Monday, Lofthouse said, “I can confirm that I have stepped down from Solid8, terminating all business relationships with immediate effect.”
“I will make it my duty to ensure my personal actions do not continue to have a detrimental impact on those people closest to me,” he added.
Last week he apologized after the video went viral, saying, “My behavior in the video is appalling,’ adding that he wanted to ‘deeply apologize’ to the Chan family.
