Businessman Simon Guobadia recently told Page Six he “absolutely” regrets his whirlwind marriage to Porsha Williams, claiming he “was targeted for financial reasons” by the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star.

In the exclusive chat, he recalled repeatedly asking, “Why did you file for a divorce?” only to be met with silence.
“This felt like a coup…I was totally blindsided,” he admitted.
After his attempts to reach Williams’s loved ones failed, Guobadia said he fired off a scathing text reading: “This was a $5 million rehab project that I took on.”
Their marriage ended in February 2024 after just 14 months when Williams filed for divorce, citing troubling discoveries about his finances and U.S. immigration status.
Guobadia explained, “She never shared her concerns or issues with me before filing for divorce. If you’re married…you discuss issues,” but insisted they never had such talks. He also reflected on their quick engagement: “Getting engaged in 30 days…who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind.”
Following a grueling four months in ICE custody and deportation to Nigeria, a judge upheld their prenup, awarding Williams $40,000 monthly alimony and up to 36 months of mortgage-free residence. Guobadia vows to appeal “with 1,000%” certainty, even taking it “all the way to the Supreme Court.”
On Williams’s daughter PJ, he stated plainly, “I don’t have a relationship with her daughter,” dismissing his ex-wife’s notion that the pair were close. He also criticizes Williams’s gesture of paying child support during his ICE stay, noting it “was not done in good faith” and served only narrative purposes.
