During her concert at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on December 13th, the 22-year-old singer was seated cross-legged, mid-performance of her hauntingly beautiful track, “What Was I Made For?” when a bracelet struck her face. Fans gasped in disbelief as Eilish flinched, briefly turning her head away before seamlessly continuing her performance.
The Oscar-winning artist calmly brushed off the incident, even casually tossing the offending object aside. This isn’t the first time Eilish has faced such disruptions. Speaking at the Barbie world premiere in 2023, she admitted to enduring years of onstage mishaps caused by overzealous fans.
“It’s absolutely infuriating… you’re in a vulnerable position, but they’re just trying to show love,” she explained. Still, she has urged her audience to avoid throwing objects, stressing the risks involved.
The incident highlights a troubling trend in live music. Celebrities like Harry Styles, Pink, and Bebe Rexha have also been targeted with items hurled onstage, ranging from phones to bizarre objects like human ashes. For Eilish, this latest occurrence came amid her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour, a title now eerily prophetic. Despite these challenges, the resilient performer continues her global tour, proving that no flying bracelet—or otherwise—can keep her down.
