Due to overwhelming fan demand, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is heading back to IMAX 70mm screens for a one-week limited run starting May 15. Warner Bros. announced the re-release after the original film soared past $122 million in North America and $161 million globally, making it the biggest debut for an original title since 2019.
Tickets are now on sale for nine select theaters across North America, including iconic IMAX venues in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, and Toronto.
“Sinners is the kind of cinematic experience that deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible,” said Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros. president of global distribution. “Ryan Coogler delivered a powerful film that’s resonating with audiences, and we wanted to give fans one more chance to see it — or see it again — in the format it was made for.”
The film stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as twin brothers haunted by their past and features a cast that includes Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jayme Lawson. Sinners was crafted by a dream team of Oscar winners and nominees, including Coogler’s frequent collaborators from Black Panther — Ludwig Göransson, Hannah Beachler, and Ruth E. Carter.
