Pete Davidson and Snoop Dogg will face off at the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl as the team’s official captains.
The two-day athletic event will take place next month, just a few days before the annual Super Bowl game. The 29-year-old comedian will be joining Eli Manning as the captain of the NFC, while the 51-year-old rapper is taking the lead over the AFC alongside Peyton Manning as team captain.
“I’m comin’ back to the NFL field. But this time, instead of performing, I’m going head-to-head with Pete and competing for the title of The Pro Bowl Games Champion,” Snoop said.
He continued, “The competition is going to go off, but we all know that Peyton and our AFC squad are gonna do some big things. We’ll end up on that podium.”
On the other hand, Davidson said he’s participating in the professional event for one reason only.
“I’m doing this to impress my Uncle Mike,” Davidson said.
On February 2nd, the NFL players who were voted into the game will compete in eight skilled challenges. The players will also participate in a non-contact flag football game the following day. Players featured in this year’s sporting event include Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Kirk Cousins, and more. However, if players from either conference make it to the Super Bowl, they will no longer be a part of the Pro Bowl.
