Snoop Dogg is making headlines again, and this time it’s for blasting a photographer who is suing the rapper, Nas, after he shared a picture of him and 2Pac on Instagram.
The picture in question was a black-and-white photo from 1993 outside Club Amazon, featuring Nas, 2Pac, and Redman.
“How’s a mothafucka suing Nas for a picture that he in?” Snoop said, adding that photographers have “lost y’all mothafuckin’ rabid ass mind.”
He continued, “When you take a picture of a n***a, that picture ain’t yours. That’s a mere likeness-type situation. You’re borrowing my likeness,” he said. “We need new laws to help us as artists, man because it’s a bunch of mothafuckas selling pictures with my face on it, and I don’t get shit ’cause they took the picture. Can anybody help me with that? Just a basic question.”
According to HipHopDX, the lawsuit was announced over the weekend after well-known rap photographer Al Pereira sued Nas for releasing the image without permission or licensing the image.
Pereira is suing Nas for damages and an injunction for releasing the photo.
