The year just started, and Snoop Dogg is already making major moves. The Grammy Award-winning rapper is performing at the Super Bowl in Los Angeles, and now we’ll be seeing his face on a popular chip bag.
Rap Snacks co-founder Master P has brought his fellow hip-hop legend on as the newest face of the icon collection.
On Wednesday, the CEO of Rap Snacks, James Lindsey, announced the 50/50 partnership of the OG Cheddar-Barbecue snack with the rapper.
As an icon in hip-hop, James found it only right to include the icon himself as part of the Rap Snacks’ brand.
“We continue to give the people what they want,” Lindsay said. “ The Rap Snacks brand represents culture, quality, and community – it’s the promise of fun and flavor in every bag. Snoop Dogg exemplifies everything the brand represents. There is no limit to where Rap Snacks can go, added Lindsay.
Master P recently made a post on Instagram celebrating their partnership and sharing the importance of educating black people on generational wealth. “Don’t nobody have more chips than me. Just did a deal with the new brand ambassador, Snopp Dog. We are family, and there’s enough for all of us to eat. We agreed on a 50/50 partnership. And the new Snoop Dogg Icon chips are coming soon in three flavors,” the post read.
He continued, “I’m committed to continuing educating and giving our people the blueprint on building economic empowerment. Trust the process. We’re taking over the grocery stores they can have the streets. Product outweighs talent, we made an empire with music, and now we are making generational wealth with products.”
James Lindsay found a way to merge both food and music to create a snack for the culture. Featuring artists like Rick Ross, Lil Baby, Cardi B, The Migos, Rick Ross, Lil Yachty, and more, Snoop Dog is now joining the Rap Snacks family.
The release date has yet to be announced, but fans can expect different flavors to try.
