OG rapper Snoop Dogg says he is not phased by cancel culture despite a few close calls.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper recently sat down for a Clubhouse chat with famed comedian Druski for his “Behind The Vest” room. During the talk, the 50-year-old stated, “I wish a motherf—– would try to cancel me.” According to Snoop, being canceled only works if you believe in it. He used DaBaby and Dave Chappelle as examples, noting that their fans still love and support them despite the public outrage they’ve faced recently.

“The cancel community is not bigger than my fan base,” he added.

If you recall, Snoop sparked widespread outrage when he slammed Gayle King for speaking on Kobe Bryant’s 2003 rape case shortly after his death in January 2020. Snoop, an avid fan of Bryant’s, posted a video on Instagram calling King a “dog-head b—-.” He would later apologize, sharing that a talk with his mother opened his eyes to how harmful his words were. The incident clearly did not lead to Snoop being canceled, as he later shared in the conversation that Korean pop band BTS is waiting to do a record with him.

Before the social media era, Snoop was nearly canceled permanently when he stood trial for first-degree murder in 1993 for the death of gang member Philip Woldermariam. Snoop was ultimately acquitted, and 28 years later, fellow rapper 50 Cent has announced that he would be making a series about the ordeal.

It’s safe to say that Snoop Dogg’s career is unstoppable.
