Cori Broadus, the youngest child of rap icon Snoop Dogg, is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in her life. The 25-year-old and her fiancé, Wayne “Duece” Polk, have announced they’re expecting their first child—a baby girl. The big news comes shortly after the conclusion of their three-part reality TV special, Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori & Wayne.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Broadus revealed she discovered she was pregnant on October 28. “This baby is so unplanned, but we are soooooo blessed,” she said. The little one will be Snoop and Shante Broadus’ eighth grandchild, as Cori’s older brothers, Corde and Cordell, already have seven children between them.
Cori, who has lived with lupus since she was diagnosed at six years old, shared that her pregnancy is considered high-risk. Despite initial concerns, both she and her baby are doing well. “My mom and dad were so excited—their baby girl is having a baby,” Cori said, adding with a laugh, “My dad was hoping for a grandson, though.”
The singer and reality TV star expressed her joy at preparing for motherhood and shared her vision for raising her daughter. “Growing up, I wasn’t the most confident and never felt like I fit in, so I want to make sure my daughter feels like she’s the prettiest in the world,” Cori explained. “And I’m having a mini-me! Wayne said he’s excited to have someone that looks like me. He knows she’s going to be so beautiful and can’t wait to give her all the love in the world.”
Fans of the couple got to know them better on their reality series, which wrapped up on December 13.
