Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus has suffered a terrifying health scare.
The 24-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that she had a stroke earlier that morning. Broadus shared a photo on her IG Story from the hospital with the caption, “I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me,” she wrote. In another photo, which appears to show her wearing a mask, Broadus wrote, “Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.” Â
Although she is receiving the necessary medical care, Broadus’ recent health challenges are the most recent in a series of illnesses that extend back to when she was just six years old. Broadus was diagnosed with lupus at that age. While the details surrounding her Thursday emergency, lupus can increase the risk of stroke in some patients, the National Library of Medicine explains.
Additionally, Broadus has also grappled with her mental health. In 2021, she revealed that she attempted to end her life. She would add that her depression began in childhood, stemming from having a darker complexion than her brothers, Corde and Cordell, and also her lupus diagnosis. However, it seemed that life began to look up for Broadus. Last September, she spoke with People about her improvements.Â
“I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been,” Broadus said at the time.Â
Sadly, it seems she has experienced a setback in her recovery. Neither Snoop nor his wife Shante has commented on their daughter’s health scare.Â
