Houston-based social media influencer, Corey Pritchett Jr., recently turned himself into a Harris County jail on charges related to aggravated kidnapping. The 26-year-old is currently facing two counts that stem from a November 22nd incident, where he allegedly threatened to harm and kill two women before abandoning them in a remote area.
According to reports, the victims met Pritchett at a gym in Southwest Houston. After offering to give them a ride home, Pritchett allegedly drove the two ladies in the opposite direction, speeding 100 mph down Interstate 10. The court documents detailed the incident, revealing that Pritchett reportedly pulled out a gun when one of the women tried to send a text on her phone. To make things worse, during a phone call, Pritchett allegedly claimed that he had the “perfect opportunity” to take the ladies to a secluded area where they couldn’t be found.
The situation escalated when Pritchett pulled over to a restaurant in Sealy and reportedly demanded the women to get out of the car, stating that it would be their “last opportunity.” The ladies told authorities that they were left stranded in an unknown area and investigators were able to verify their story through cell phone records and screenshots from the Life360 app.
Pritchett’s arrest comes just after he allegedly fled the country due to the allegations. Court documents revealed that Pritchett took to social media to announce that he was leaving the U.S. and moving to Dubai to start a new life. It was later confirmed that Pritchett had gone to Doha Qatar on a one-way ticket. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old is currently behind bars with a bond set for $200,000 and if released, Pritchett will be required to give up his passport and remain in the Greater Houston area.
