Social media is buzzing with speculation after an alleged reference track for Drake’s 2018 song Mob Ties surfaced online. The reference track made by Vory closely resembles the version on Scorpion, with some differences, reigniting an ongoing debate about ghostwriters.

However, receipts pulled up online show several writers have always been credited, including Drake, producers Allen Ritter and Boi-1da, and the supergroup The Firm with the production team Trackmasters alongside Vory.

Earlier reports show that both Drake and DJ Akademiks had initially denied Vory’s involvement on the track.

Despite any truth, “Mob Ties” remains a hit, yet some fans question whether Drake truly deserves the title of one of the best rappers.
