Social media users are expressing shock and disappointment as news spreads that Red Lobster is closing dozens of its restaurants nationwide.
Reports suggest that the closures are linked to the company’s bankruptcy filing.
The financial strain on the popular seafood chain, compounded by the success of its Endless Shrimp promotion, resulted in an $11 million loss in late 2023, further contributing to the closures.
So far, closures have been confirmed in California, Florida, Colorado, and Maryland, leaving patrons in various states, such as Alabama, Georgia, New York, and Texas, also bracing for the loss of their beloved seafood chain.

But honestly, we do need those middle-tier chain restaurants to stay in business(Chilis, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Denny’s, TGIF) because people with $20 need another option that isn’t fast food
