SoHo Karen, Miya Ponsetto, has finally been arrested after a viral video of her accusing a black teen of stealing her cellphone.
Ponsetto was taken into custody in Los Angeles after trying to lay low in California with her mother.
According to TMZ, Ponsetto was arrested jointly with Ventura County Police Department and NYPD and is expected to be charged with attempted robbery for falsely accusing and assaulting a 14-year-old of stealing her cellphone.
Earlier this month, we reported that Ponsetto had a history of creating disturbances in hotels. SoHo Karen and her mom were both arrested back in February 2020 for causing a fuss at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. The women were asked to leave but refused. When the police arrived to escort the women off the premises, Miya’s mother allegedly kicked and pushed a cop, causing both women to be arrested.
Ponsetto’s mother was arrested on a battery charge on a police officer, and both women were charged for being drunk in public.
As for Keyon Harrold Jr., the 14-year-old SoHo Karen assaulted, his family is seeking trauma therapy, according to his father.
