Next month, Solange Knowles will be adding, yet another, accolade to her long list of accomplishments in the wake of the success of her Grammy-winning 2016 album, “A Seat at the Table.”
The singer and songwriter has been named the Harvard Foundation’s artist of the year, joining the likes of Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, and Salma Hayek.

As the foundation continues to explore Intercultural and Race Relations in an attempt to “involve students of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the ongoing programmatic enterprises of the College and University and to highlight the cultural contributions of all Harvard students.”

Solange is set to accept the honor on March 3.
