Someone left a flier insinuating that George Floyd’s death was caused by his drug use on a Black History Month display at Duke University. Now that act has caused a school-wide investigation into what officials call an “act of bias.”
According to CNN, the flier was an apparent printout of George Floyd’s toxicology report left on a display for Black History Month that was meant to honor black victims of police violence.
Duke University officials confirmed the report included handwritten remarks in a pink pen that read, “Mix of drugs presents in difficulty breathing! Overdose? Good Man? Use of fake currency is a felony!”
Matt Mohn, a first-year student at Duke, told CNN he found the flier on around noon on Saturday around noon and immediately reported it to his resident advisor. The fliers were then removed 30 minutes later. Mohn called the act “audacious.”
“All of a sudden, someone comes up and is essentially sticking a thumb in the face of every Black person, saying his life didn’t matter, that he wasn’t a good person, because of one $20 bill,” Mohn explained. “I was just really really surprised by it, that someone would put that much effort into trying to strip someone of their humanity for no reason,” he continued.

You missed out he’s conviction of assault and robbery on a pregnant lady – the drug use, counterfeit money and resisting arrest is all true but doesn’t surprise me that the university wanted to take it down. It seems to be a common practice to remove of ignore facts about racism that hurt peoples feelings. It doesn’t surprise me that your a black female, I could if guessed that from the lack of balanced view of this article. If your interested in helping race relations start by telling the truth, not just what serves your political agenda of using the fear of racism white people have been made to fear for your political advancement.
