Rihanna fans are impatiently waiting for new music. Whether it’s R8 or Anti, RiRi’s Navy wants to know what’s going on with the tunes. Songwriter Glass John, responsible for the song “Kiss It Better” which is to appear on Rihanna’s forthcoming “Anti” album, says he has all of the answers and Travis Scott is to blame.
In a late night rant that spanned from Saturday night well into Sunday morning, Glass John set off a series of bizarre tweets referencing Rihanna as his “wife” and blaming Travis Scott for why “Anti” has yet to be released. “The album was done last year. It’s been done. The album would’ve been out on Christmas if Travis hadn’t convinced Rihanna that it wasn’t good enough,” Glass tweeted. “He’s wasting valuable studio time trying to come up with a song that can top “Kiss It Better” and he cannot because it’s the best damn song.”
Glass John says that the majority of the hold up is due to Travis wanting Rihanna to release an album full of “trap music” instead of the music Rihanna has already recorded. He even says that it was Travis who came up with the “Anti” album title and has convinced the label that his way is the right way. “Travis Scott keeps telling my wife she needs to make an all trap hood ghetto album. Roc nation keeps listening to Travis because they think he is a genius… I DONT FUCKING SEE IT THO. Roc Nation thinks Travis knows what the youth wants and Travis isn’t thinking about everyone worldwide, he’s only thinking about the trap.”
To summarize Glass John’s rant which spanned over 10 hours, he’s fed up with the treatment of Rihanna, her project, and the role Travis Scott is playing in her life. He believes Scott is using Rihanna for fame. He even threatens Travis for putting her in harm’s way (in reference to the shooting that took place outside of a club the two were partying at last week.) Glass John knows that by speaking out he’s put his career on the line but swears he did this out of love and even threatened to leak “Kiss It Better” if things aren’t made right. It didn’t stop there, though. Glass also brings #ChrisBrown into the mix, saying that every song he and Chris penned was about Rihanna, including “Do Better” , “Love Me No More” , “Play Me” and “Here We Go Again” . “Every song we’ve done is about her… for a reason,” Glass writes. “He doesn’t just make songs about Her with anyone. it’s personal and there’s more that will never be heard.”
Do you believe Glass John or do you think he’s having some kind of episode?
