Back in August, Young Jeezy and 5 other members of his entourage were arrested while on tour with Wiz Khalifa. Cops charged all 6 with felony possession of an illegal weapon after finding an AK-47 and a Glock on their tour bus. Jeezy eventually bailed himself and his entourage out and continued to fight the good fight.
It looks like the ‘good fight’ was worth it because new evidence has pushed the Orange County D.A. to dismiss the charges. Despite the new evidence, there were other factors that didn’t quite add up. Cops were looking for the weapon that was used in a shooting at Wiz Khalifa’s concert that left a party promoter dead just days earlier. The guns cops found were not Jeezy’s, but his security chief’s, who wasn’t on the bus because he was in the hospital after being shot the day before during the Suge Knight/1OAK Hollywood shooting. Also, Cops had inspected the guns 2 days before and determined they were NOT involved in the shooting at the Wiz Khalifa concert.
The security chief legally obtained the AK-47 in Georgia but AK-47’s are illegal in California. So why wasn’t the security guard charged instead of Jeezy and the other 5 members who were on the bus? Jeezy and Co weren’t in direct proximity to the weapon when cops boarded the bus. The gun was in a case behind the security chief’s bunk bed, and Jeezy was in a closed, separate cabin and after DNA tests were run, it proved they hadn’t even touched the weapon.
From the looks of things it looks like someone had an axe to grind with the rapper. Authorities held all 6 people on $1 MILLION bail, even though the recommended bail for that offense is $20K. All 6 defendants sat in jail for 4 days until they got the bail reduced. They also all had their money, jewelry, clothing and other personal items seized, even though it had nothing to do with the alleged offense. Looks like the Hip Hop Police are at it again. This case was fraudulent from the jump.
