Soulja Boy announced on Twitter that he was stuck in mudslides over the weekend and his car was almost swept into the ocean. He tweeted, “Was involved in a very bad car accident last night due to a flash flood and mudslide ??.”An hour later, he added, “My car got stuck too almost went into the ocean ??.”
Flash flooding and mudslides affected parts of Malibu and other areas that were previously hit by the Woolsey Fire last November. The California Department of Transportation District 7 tweeted that the Pacific Coast Highway will remain closed until Monday due to mudslides and flooding between Las Posas Road in Ventura County to Encinal Canyon Road in Malibu.
Soulja didn’t provide much detail about his specific situation, but he later tweeted he was waiting to get his car back, “I still haven’t got my car back it’s stuck in the water in the middle of the mud slide/flood.” He’s shared various articles about the landslides and the current danger on the roads in the area. He wrote on #Instagram, “I’m just thankful to be alive. I don’t care about the car it’s materialistic. You can’t take it with you when you’re gone.”
According to #FoxNews, motorists are being urged to use extreme caution on mountain roads, where up to 4 feet of snow could fall in the Sierra Nevada. Scattered showers are expected across greater Los Angeles.
