Soulja Boy a.k.a Big Draco spared no names during his interview with The Breakfast Club this week. The pioneer of viral internet rappers continued his campaign of having the biggest comeback in 2018 as well as explained in great detail (with factual evidence) that he paved the way for the new wave of hip hop, including Drake and Migos, how Tyga did NOT have the biggest comeback and Soulja even let off a couple of shots at Kanye West for various reasons.
Of course, the first few moments of the interview were in reference to Soulja and his undying insistence that he had the biggest comeback of 2018. The “Crank Dat” rapper explains his comeback is from how the people “counted him out” and now he’s at the height of his career.
Charlamagne shared that the internet voted Tyga and DJ Envy votes Meek Mill…so nobody has yet to be crowned with the title. However, when Tyga was mentioned, Soulja clearly didn’t like the comparison. He stated, “”Tyga…Tyga…Tyga,” he shouted quizzically, “The n***a who let Travis Scott steal his b*tch?”
He also talked about the “beef” he had with Migos a few years ago and explained that it was because their label mate, Lil Yachty, was upset with him over a presumed relationship between Soulja and India Love. He said that has been squashed and even provided proof in the form of a very recent DM from Takeoff.
Elsewhere in the interview, Soulja Boy addressed Kanye’s previous claims of being like Walt Disney and Steve Jobs. He said, “Why you ain’t come out with shit then? I came out with a whole video game console, bruh. I’m the first rapper to do that in history, bruh. You ain’t Walt Disney. You ain’t none of that, bruh.” Soulja continued by saying Kanye is “kissing ass” with #LouisVuitton and #Adidas for his “ugly” Yeezy line and he also mentioned Kanye’s Trump endorsements, stating younger artists and fans are looking at him like he’s “goofy”. “You up here supporting Trump and shit, bruh. You supporting Trump, bruh? What the f*ck wrong with you?”
Then perhaps the most notable part of the interview, in which Soulja talks about Drake and how he “taught him everything he knows”.
“Stop playing me like I ain’t teach Drake everything he know,” Soulja said. Then, he shocked the host (and probably everyone else) when he recited a few lines from Drake and Lil Wayne’s “Miss Me”, which does indeed include some of Soulja’s flow.
Whether Soulja Boy did indeed have the biggest comeback in 2018 or not, his Breakfast Club Interview was definitely the biggest comeback of 2019!
