Soulja Boy has been mandated to compensate $10 million in damages to a former partner who accused him of sexual battery.
In 2021, an unidentified plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the rapper, alleging sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress during their relationship. As reported by The Blast, Soulja has been instructed to compensate the woman with $10 million. This amount comprises $5 million for pain, suffering, and inconvenience and another $5 million for causing emotional distress. Among the claims, the woman claimed that Soulja subjected her to severe physical abuse, resulting in the miscarriage of their child.
“During their conversation, (Way) began to punch (Doe) in the face and chest until she could no longer stand on her feet,” the lawsuit stated. “Soon thereafter, (Doe) suffered a miscarriage and was unable to carry her pregnancy into full term.”
The woman asserted that she had an inconsistent relationship with the rapper from 2007 to 2019. She stated that she eventually ended the relationship due to what she described as “constant abuse.”
Throughout the years, Soulja has found himself facing various legal issues. He was previously sued by a former personal assistant who accused him of repeated rape. Soulja denied these allegations through a representative, stating, “He wouldn’t beat a woman or put his hands on a woman… this is nonsense.” Additionally, he was recently instructed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to an ex-girlfriend who accused him of assault and kidnapping.
Court records reveal that the jury awarded Kayla Meyers $1,800 for “mental health expenses” and an additional $234,100 for “physical and mental pain and suffering,” totaling $235,900. Furthermore, the jury determined that Soulja had acted with “malice, oppression, or fraud.” Nevertheless, Soulja denied the claims and said someone else had caused the injuries.
