While in police custody, Soulja Boy’s Los Angeles home was burglarized on April 15, and thieves took over $600,000 in property.
According to TMZ, Soulja Boy was arrested for a probation violation after a court hearing on April 11. A judge ordered the rapper to stay in jail until the end of the month, and shortly after his home was robbed. A home caretaker made the call to police to report the break-in.
Thieves used the rapper’s time behind bars to steal watches, chains, and other jewelry, as well as cash out his personal safe.
Oddly, the suspects also stole “Big Drako’s” phone, hacking his Instagram Live to take credit for the crime.
To add insult to injury, TMZ also reported that the burglars messaged Soulja Boy’s celebrity friends and impersonated the rapper to ask for features, posing as his “new artists.”
Police believe that the five men seen on the video are their suspects.
