Sources close to Tiger Woods said he is “livid” that his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman filed a lawsuit against him.
In December 2022, Herman, 38, filed a lawsuit claiming she is owed $30 million because Woods, 47, kicked her out of his house despite the two having an “oral agreement” that she was allowed to live there for another five years.
She also filed a separate complaint Monday requesting release from a non-disclosure agreement. She references a law that allows NDAs to be nullified in cases of sexual assault, PEOPLE reported.
However, Herman hasn’t made any sexual assault accusations against her former boyfriend.
Apparently, Herman wasn’t too happy about the breakup. A source close to the pro golfer says his ex says the couple’s relationship “was stale for a long time,” adding that Herman “helped him through his accident and recovery,” but then things “went downhill” for them for “a variety of reasons.”
The source added that Woods is frustrated over the injuries he’s suffered from due to a car accident in 2021, “some of which are not going to get much better,” the source said.
“…she was there for him throughout the whole thing, so she thinks that kind of loyalty is worth something,” the source said before saying Woods was “getting restless” in the relationship before the accident.
The source added that although Herman is bright, her and Woods’s relationship was “comfortable,” but “it wasn’t enough to withstand so many frustrations and complications in his golf career,” the insider says, adding that “Golf in any capacity and his kids are his life.”
For now, there “isn’t a lot of future in anything else – at least not now” for Woods. As for the lawsuits, the insider says Woods is angry. “Tiger is livid,” says the source.
PEOPLE obtained the complaint that challenges the NDA. It states the former couple” had a long relationship” that was both professional and personal. Herman claims she is “currently unsure what other information about her own life she may discuss or with whom.”
