This past weekend, an intoxicated South Carolina woman, who was pulled over for running a stop sign and speeding, tried to avoid an arrest by listing her many “achievements” and wholesome characteristics like being a “very clean, thoroughbred, white girl.”
According to an arrest report, 32-year-old Lauren Cutshaw was stopped just before 2 am on Saturday after she was seen going 30mph over the limit, speeding past a stop sign.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When officers approached the woman’s vehicle, they noticed her eyes appeared bloodshot and glassy, in addition to the strong smell of alcohol.
Cutshaw, who works as a real estate agent, told police she had only consumed two glasses of wine. When the officers asked her to specify how full the glasses were, Cutshaw, who turns 33 on Thursday, faintly replied, “I mean, I was celebrating my birthday.”
She then followed procedures, but reportedly failed the field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer revealed her blood alcohol level was .18, which is more than two times the legal limit of 0.08 in South Carolina.

According to the police report, Cutshaw continuously attempted to talk her way out of jail, telling the officers that she had perfect grades her whole life, she was a cheerleader and a sorority girl, she attended a “high accredited university and was a member of the National Honor Society,” and she mentioned her partner is a police officer.

However, the Bluffton Police Department officers were unimpressed by Cutshaw’s alleged credentials and proceeded to arrest her for traffic violations and marijuana possession.
