Stacey Abrams is using her celebrity leverage to garner support ahead of Election Day. Over the weekend, the Georgia Governor candidate appeared on stage with female rapper Latto.
Abrams delivered a message about abortion rights in Georgia during the Saturday night show in Atlanta. She came on stage while Latto was performing her hit, “Pu**y,” which she wrote following the overturn of Roe vs. Wade.
Abrams was standing by the backup dancers as Latto performed and carried a “my body, my choice” sign over her head the whole time, TMZ reported.
“I just want to remind you that if you believe in my body, my choice, I need your vote,” Abrams said on the mic when the song was over.
She then referenced Latto’s mega-hit yelling, “I need your big energy. Let’s get it!”
Last week she debated her opponent, Georgia’s current Governor, Brian Kemp, as voters go out for early voting in that state.
Abrams will likely attend several other celeb events in the next couple of weeks. She already has Oprah rallying for her in the Peach State.
