Stacey Dash is apparently waiting for an apology for the all the backlash that has been receiving from critics and entertainers. Unfortunately for Stacey, everyone is not on board.
Dash has been dragged through the mud for her recent comments calling for elimination of Black History Month and the BET Network. Now, the actress and Fox News correspondent says she deserves an apology from all her critics. Dash uses Morgan Freeman as a way to justify her words. Freeman previous expressed his thoughts towards Black History Month, and expressed that he shared similar views.
In a blog post titled, “Twitter Haters, When Do I Get My Apology for Agreeing with Morgan Freeman about #BlackHistoryMonth?,” Dash claims Morgan Freeman expressed similar views and received none of the backlash.
“When I spoke out on Fox News and on my blog about the need to get rid of BET and Black History Month, all the same usual Twitter haters came out of the woodwork to troll me and say all sorts of disgusting things about me,” Dash, 49, wrote. “Well, if you’re going to call me ignorant, stupid, and an Uncle Tom, you need to be intellectually honest and also call out Morgan Freeman.”
Dash included footage on her post of Morgan Freeman during an episode of 60 minutes where Freeman expressed his views in 2006. Though Freeman did call Black History Month ridiculous, it’s not for the same reasons as Stacey Dash is. In fact, Freeman says he dislikes Black History Month because black history shouldn’t be compressed into one single month, black history is a huge part of American History and should be celebrated throughout the year.
