Disney is set to furlough more staff and executives as there is no sign that the Anaheim, California-based theme park will open anytime soon. The park was shut down due to the pandemic.
In September, 28,000 people were laid off by the company.
“The recently released state guidelines put us in limbo regarding the reopening timeline in the foreseeable future,” said Ken Potrock, Disney resort president.
According to the New York Post, Disney estimated that the Coronavirus impact on operating income at its Parks, Experiences, and Products segment was close to $1 billion.
