According to reports, Star Brim, also known as Yonette Respass, faced RICO Act charges along with 17 other gang members. She admitted guilt for her role in the criminal activities linked to the 5–9 Brims.
Prosecutors accused Brim of being the “godmother” of the gang and orchestrating crimes such as fraud and assault, with law enforcement actively targeting the gang to reduce gang-related crime in New York.
