New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Wednesday that the team is aware of a viral video featuring wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Video
In the clip, Diggs is seen on a boat surrounded by women, holding what appears to be a pink substance. His rumored girlfriend, Cardi B, was also present on the boat. The video has sparked widespread speculation, but it remains unclear what the substance is or when the footage was taken.
“It’s something that we’re aware of,” Vrabel told reporters, according to the team’s official transcript. “Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. We’re hoping that with our time here on the field today, that when we don’t have a script and we’re on the call periods, that we’re making great decisions. The message will be the same for all our players, that we’re trying to make great decisions. Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him, I and the club.”
Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million deal with New England in March after his stint with the Houston Texans was cut short by a torn ACL in late October. He is still recovering from the injury and did not attend Wednesday’s voluntary OTA session, though he has been seen at the team facility during other offseason events.
When asked if he had spoken to Diggs about the video, Vrabel said, “I talk to our players every single day. The ones that are here and the ones that aren’t.”
