The Colorado Buffaloes are officially bowl-eligible after their 34-23 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday. They have quietly continued to impress and could easily be 7-1. Ranked and with Heisman-like players in Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, it’s about time media voices like Stephen A Smith speak up for the progress Sanders and the Buffs have made this year.
“I have prime-time Deion Sanders as my coach of the year, let’s get that out the way right now,” Smith said on Monday’s edition of First Take. “He was projected to finish eleventh in the Big 12. Eleventh! The man is 6-2, they wondered if he would win four games like he did last year. He’s already won six.”
Sanders has won five of its last six games, and it is looking to win out in November. If it can, it has a realistic chance at a BSC birth and possibly a Big 12 championship birth as well.
Shedeur Sanders has been playing some of the best ball of his career, and Stephen A also acknowledged it.
“Shedeur Sanders even with hip injury and all completed 25 of 30 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns through the air. You can’t say enough.”
Let’s see how the Buffs capitalize on this positive momentum. They are focused and have found consistency in their running game and their defense.
