Steve Harvey has just been announced as the host for the next Verzuz battle between two of the most respected and legendary bands in music.
In an Instagram post, Verzuz announced that the “Family Feud” host will serve as the master of ceremonies in the highly-anticipated matchup between the legendary R&B group’s Earth, Wind and Fire and The Isley Brothers, on Easter Sunday, April 4 at 8 p.m. ET., marking the first time that a Verzuz showcase has had a host.
The Verzuz brand has just celebrated its first anniversary as the series started by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland was just sold to Triller for an undisclosed amount.
The deal allowed the Verzuz co-creators to become large shareholders in the Triller Network and serve as brand visionaries on the Triller Verzuz management team and promised to take the series concept to the next level as it continues to grow and reach new audiences.
Earlier this week, Verzuz announced a partnership with fitness company Peloton for a collection of workouts set to the catalogs of music artists who have been featured in Verzuz battles. The first round that they announced will kick off with songs by Brandy and Monica in honor of Women’s History Month.
