On Wednesday, Stormy Daniels asked a federal judge to force Donald Trump to testify in a deposition about the hush money she was paid to keep quiet about their alleged affair.
Daniels filed her request in Los Angeles federal court by Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti. According to the Los Angeles Times, the attorney argued that Trump should be questioned and about his involvement in providing Daniels with $130,000 to buy her silence ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Despite the claim that Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, used his own money to pay off the porn star, Avenatti asked for two hours to interrogate Trump to find out what he knew about the payment. According to the publication, the lawyer is even looking to discuss the large payment with Cohen to get to the bottom of the situation.
In fact, he even outlined a list of questions to use in his interrogation, including whether or not Cohen was reimbursed for the payment if Trump approved the payment, and whether or not he knew about it at all.
Daniels’ recent legal action comes on the heels of her lawsuit against the Celebrity-in-Chief over the confidentiality agreement. Since Trump failed to sign the document, Daniels feels she has free reign to discuss the alleged affair.
