Straight Outta Compton Cast Not Invited to The Oscars

Not only did the cast of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ not receive any Oscar nominations, they apparently didn’t receive any invites to the ceremony either. 

It isn’t uncommon for those who were not nominated for an award to still get invited to the show to support their peers. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening with Straight Outta Compton. Sources close to the cast say that none of the film’s cast members received invitations to the awards ceremony. In fact, the only people who were invited were the 2 writers who were nominated for best original screenplay. Even Ice Cube’s invite got lost in the mail.

Apparently Ice Cube isn’t too bothered by the whole thing. He’s said time and time again that he’s indifferent to the nomination snub, and apparently wasn’t going to go to the Oscars anyway. Considering the whole #OscarsSoWhite boycott, the cast was probably staying home regardless.
