While Suge Knight is facing a murder charge of his own, the former music mogul is accusing Dr. Dre of hiring a hitman to kill him.
As you may recall, back in 2014, Suge Knight was shot 7 times in the stomach as he partied at Los Angeles’ 1Oak nightclub during BET Awards weekend. Suge recovered, but is saying in a new lawsuit that Dr. Dre was behind it all.
According to Knight, he and Dr. Dre entered into a lifetime management contract which entitled him to a 30% of all Dr. Dre’s entertainment earnings — including his Beats By Dre deal with Apple. Suge Knight says that when Dre signed his Beats deal with Apple,  Dre attempted to cut him out because Apple did not want to associate their brand with the Death Row frontman.
Knight says Dre’s solution was to hire someone to kill him. Fortunately, Dre’a plan was foiled. In Suge’s lawsuit he says a man whi goes by the name of T-Money about the shooting, and he told investigators he was paid by Dre to kill Suge. No arrests were made, however. Suge Knight’s suit also alleges that  Dre and Universal Pictures paid Cle “Bone” Sloan $300,000 to handle him in 2015. Sloan is also one of the men Suge struck with his truck on the set of “Straight Out of Compton”. The other was a man by the name of Terry Carter, who died after being hit. Suge says it was an accident and he was being ambushed and attempted to escape.
