Two more people who attended an Election Night party at the White House have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, bringing the current total of Covid-19 cases derived from the event to at least five.
According to CNBC, the newly reported cases from the November 3rd event have been identified as Brian Jack, the White House political director, and Healy Baumgardner, a former WH aide who attended the party as a guest of Rudy Giuliani.
Baumgardner told NBC News she tested positive on Wednesday, while sources who are “familiar” with Jack confirmed his diagnosis to the media.
Three other people who attended the party that night were diagnosed with Covid-19 after the event: White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, and David Bossie, who briefly directed Trump’s ongoing effort to challenge election results against President-elect Joe Biden.
There have now been over 30 confirmed Coronavirus cases within the Trump administration since the September 26th “superspreader” event in the Rose Garden.
