In the wake of three women accusing actor Chris Noth last week of sexual assault, allegations made by model Beverly Johnson against the actor and her former boyfriend have resurfaced.
A restraining order was once obtained by the 69-year-old first black supermodel alleging that the actor had repeatedly “punched her in the chest and ribs” and threatened to “kill” her.
Johnson, who dated Noth from 1990 to 1995, filed for the temporary restraining order on Aug. 1, 1995, requesting that he stay 500 yards away from her, her daughter, and their dog, according to court documents acquired by Page Six.
“Chris Noth punched me in the chest and ribs, injuring my ribs, making it difficult to breathe, punching and bruising my face and body in which I had to have medical attention,” the model alleged in the docs. “On July 27, 1995, he made repeated threats on my life making up to 25 calls per day threatening to kill me [and] destroy my face. Threatened to kill dog.”
The new allegations of sexual assault come only days after the highly anticipated Sex In The City HBO spin-off premiered, and his sponsor and employers have moved quickly to remove him.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, who all co-star with Noth on Sex and the City and And Just Like That, released an united statement on their Instagram stories Monday night:
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he told Page Six in a statement last week. “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
