Over the weekend, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was knocked out in an altercation at a South Dakota bar. Since then, a suspect has been arrested and charged in the case.
The incident occurred on Friday. However, Security footage surfaced on Sunday, showing Goedert getting sucker-punched in Aberdeen after a confrontation. The altercation sparked an all-out brawl, as Goedert laid unconscious. The baller, who went to high school and college in South Dakota, was then taken to a local hospital where he recovered from non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the suspect, who has been identified as Kyle Douglas Hadala, has been charged with simple assault for his role in the incident at Zoo Bar.
“At approximately 1:07 am on 06/20/2020 Aberdeen Police responded to the 1000 block of South Main Street in reference to an assault,” police said in a statement. “It was discovered that an adult male had been punched in the face. The male was transported to Avera St. Lukes Hospital, where he was treated and released.”
“Investigation led to the arrest of Kyle Douglas Hadala, age 29 of Sarasota, Florida. He was charged with simple assault,” the statement continued.
According to ESPN, Hadala was in town for work, and has since been released on a personal recognizance bond. However, he has been instructed to stay away from the victim. His court date is set for July 10.
As for Goedert, sources say the baller is now doing “fine,” as he is recovering at home.
