SZA Stands 10 Toes Down for Megan Thee Stallion as Tory Lanez’s Legal Team and Fans Push Innocent Narrative

SZA is making it clear she’s not here for the internet turning a blind eye to Megan Thee Stallion’s trauma, especially as Tory Lanez’s legal team revives denial claims around the 2020 shooting.

In a comment posted to Instagram under a video shared by @theluncheonlawyer, the Grammy-winning singer called out those defending Lanez and attacking Megan.

“The density!!!!! I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault??!” SZA wrote. “Like out loud where other ppl can see you?? Lmao u finna be stupid OUTLOUD?”

Her words come after Lanez’s legal team held a press conference last week and suggested that Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend, was the person who fired the gun, not Lanez. According to his lawyers, Tory allegedly tried to “stop” Kelsey during the altercation.

“There is no evidence to support this theory, and the jury rejected it after hearing direct testimony,” said Megan’s attorney Alex Spiro in a statement. “Tory Lanez was convicted because the facts were clear.”

The Canadian rapper—real name Daystar Peterson—was convicted in 2022 of three felony counts related to the shooting and is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence. The recent claims from his team come as they pursue a possible appeal.

The online chatter has ramped up in recent days, especially after it was reported that Lanez was injured in a prison stabbing incident, which led some fans—and even a few high-profile supporters—to call for his release. Among those reportedly backing a petition were Drake and Ye, in addition to a California congresswoman calling for his release.

Earlier this week, Megan also took to TikTok, calling out the harassment she’s been receiving since Tory was tried and convicted.

“At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY !? At what point are Tory and yall FANS gonna stop lying ? Like how much is the check to keep harassing me? Why is this happening EVERY DAY?” she wrote.

“One min him/ yall said I was never shot now yall letting him play in yall face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasn’t him oh okay… ?!” Megan continued. She noted that Lanez never took the stand in his defense during his trial — “BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT S‑‑‑!”

She ended her post calling Tory “f‑‑‑ing demon” and demanding he leave her alone.
