SZA is giving some insight into her plans for her next creative project while signaling an end with TDE.
On Saturday, the Grammy award-winning artist took to social media to share that she intends to fulfill her contractual obligations by releasing music specifically made for children.
“To fulfill my last 2 album requirements, I think I just wanna make peaceful children’s music n get outta here,” the singer wrote. “Then go be a farmer n donate the produce to underserved communities.”

SZA’s interest in tapping into children’s content isn’t something that came abruptly. In 2024, the singer made a guest appearance on the popular PBS show, “Sesame Street,” which gave a brief glimpse into her potential range in the space. Following her appearance, SZA celebrated the achievement by sharing a 2017 tweet where she expressed her interest in joining the show.
“GODS TIMING!!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND SAY THEM OUT LOUD!! NEVER GIVE UP!! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE I BELIEVE IN YOU!!” she wrote at the time.

Adding to her love for children, in a 2022 Complex interview, SZA spoke candidly about her desire to have children sooner rather than later, no matter the family structure.
“It’s less stressful to think about like, ‘Who’s it gonna be? Are they trustworthy? Is this person going to really love me? Is this partner material?’” she continued. “Versus being like, ‘OK, this is the doctor I know I want to deliver my kids.’”
