Renowned pastor and author Bishop T.D. Jakes reportedly suffered a medical emergency while delivering a sermon, according to a video shared by Larry Reid.

The footage shows Jakes pausing mid-sermon, appearing unable to move, as concerned members of the congregation rushed to his aid. Moments later, Jakes dropped his microphone, further alarming those in attendance.
Another portion of the video captures an ambulance leaving the scene, seemingly transporting Jakes for medical evaluation. While speculation has emerged about the nature of the incident, there is no word yet on what exactly transpired. However, The Potter’s House issued a statement, sharing that Jakes was doing well following the incident.
“Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message. Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals,” the message read.
This incident has drawn attention to the 67-year-old pastor’s health. In 2008, Jakes underwent back surgery, but details about his overall medical history have remained largely private. The sudden episode has left his followers concerned, with many expressing their prayers and well-wishes for his recovery on social media.
T.D. Jakes is widely recognized for his dynamic preaching style and leadership at The Potter’s House, a megachurch in Dallas, Texas. His congregation and the broader faith community eagerly await updates on his condition.
