Rapper and activist Clifford “T.I.” Harris will be adding to his acting resume with the announcement that he will be starring in the movie ‘Flint’ alongside ‘Fast & Furious’ actor, John Ortiz.
According to Deadline, ‘Flint’ is about a spiritually reformed ex-convict who finds himself tangled up in a murder mystery, set up by his ex-lover and a young mentee that unravels the very fabric of the water crisis afflicting the town he calls home.
The film will be produced by Will Smith’s Overbook Entertainment production company and executive producers for the film include late director John Singleton, Caleeb Pinkett, and James Lassiter from Overbook, T.I., and Brian Sher from Grand Hustle Films.
Vibe reports T.I. has even more projects up his sleeve with two movies coming out this year, ‘Dolemite is My Name’ and ‘Cut Throat City’ with comedic legend Eddie Murphy in one and the other an RZA-directed film. In 2020, T.I. will also star in a Paul W.S. Anderson thriller called ‘Monster Hunter.’
